What does a Diversity Advisor do? IMDis Diversity advisors help people to make choices in their own lives based on their legal rights. No matter where you come from, what ethnicity you are, what religion your gender, or your sexual orientation, you have the right to live a life in freedom and to be protected against things, including negative social control, forced marriage, female genital mutilation and all other forms of violence
Everyone has the right to choose their own identity, friends, clothing, boyfriend or girlfriend, education, religion, political views, sexual orientation and spouse. If someone controls your life so much that it stops you from living the life you want, you could be experiencing negative social control.
IMDis Diversity advisors will preserve your confidentiality. You can share your thoughts and concerns. We will listen and provide advice and help when needed. We can also provide information about your legal rights and inform you of who to contact if you have questions regarding racism and discrimination.
